This selection with branches that are exceptionally pendulous, laying much closer along the trunk than those of the variable forms listed as ‘Pendula’, grows up to 18" per year. Its foliage is typical to the species. (4)

PICEA OMORIKA 'GOTELLI WEEPING'

The original tree was a selection of f. pendula growing in the Gotelli Dwearf Conifer Collection
at the U.S. National Arboretum, here pictured to the left. A twenty year old
specimen at Coenbosium Gardens is shown to the right. It exceptional growth habit
and historical distinction merited a name. It is narrow and upright with pendulous branches and good color.

Found as a witches' broom in Mount Vernon, Washington, it is a very slow growing cushion
that will occasionally produce a scattering of longer terminal shoots. Normal growth is under 2" with
longer shoots of up to 4" appearing from time to time.

This has an outstanding gold color that burns in the sun but is still present in the shade. 
The undersides of the leaves have a bluish color that contrasts nicely with the surfaces. It grows
